Here is a little bit of Danica’s story shared with us by her mom: “Hello, my name is Danica Carly Rivers. I was born on July 26th, 2009. I fell off the couch on Christmas because God wanted my Dr. to find out about the brain tumor I was born with. It was getting bigger and bigger and was pushing my brain stem all the way over. My surgeon Dr. Dale Swift took it out for me on January 11…th and it was not easy. I am a strong girl though. I made it! I know God has a purpose for me and he put me here for a reason. God is holding me in his arms when my mommy, daddy and sissy can’t. I’m so glad I have so many people who love me and
are praying for me and that makes me happy. I am hurting now, but one day I will be big like my sissy and I will show everyone what a true. miracle looks like.”

A WEEK IN TROPICAL PARADISE: We will be offering a week’s stay at French Angel townhouse (or if it adults only, a Blue Tang townhouse if it is available)
Relax in your two-story, two bedroom luxury townhouse located on the Mexican Caribbean coast. Located on the magnificent Yal Ku lagoon in Akumal, you will enjoy some of the best snorkeling in all of the Americas while you stay the only private compound of luxury homes in the Riviera Maya.
Each townhouse is fully air conditioned with with a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining areas, patio overlooking the lagoon, laundry room, 2½ baths, and a heated pool on the rooftop. (Perfect for kids during the day and parents at night.) All of the bedroom suites are on the second floor with views of the lagoon.
The property features two private entrances to Yal Ku lagoon leading directly to magnificent snorkeling. Since the lagoon has no waves you will find it perfect for the children in your group as well as the adults. The owners, David and Nancy Poor, strongly recommend using vests while snorkeling and have vests available in a variety of sizes from infants to adults.
The owners supply all the linens including a beach towel for everyone as well as maid service daily (except Sunday).
Although some guests prefer to just relax, you may want some “electronic entertainment” for the children or there may be some in your party who want to “stay connected”. Each townhouse has a flat screen television with DVD and satellite with US content including ESPN and HBO. You will also have a VOIP telephone with free, unlimited calls to the US, Mexico, Canada, Europe and about 50 other countries. With a US number (Philadelphia area), your family and friends can call you directly. There is also open WiFi for e-mail and more.
The compound are located in the small town of Akumal directly on the Caribbean Ocean in the heart of the beautiful Mexican Riviera Maya. Only 60 miles south of Cancun airport, the town is worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the party towns of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. In fact, it is the only place that retains the old laid-back, relaxed atmosphere that existed before the resorts took over much of the coast.
With lots to do in this family-friendly jewel, you can relax on the beaches, enjoy the many restaurants and boutiques, go to any of the nearby attractions including Mayan ruins, or, you can just kick back in your private complex and relax.
If you will be traveling with children, you will get a French Angel townhouse: one bedroom with a king bed and one with two double beds. Maximum occupancy of six.
If you will have adults only, you will get a Blue Tang townhouse: both bedrooms with a king bed. Maximum occupancy of four.
