Hello, my name is Tamara Burross and I want to take a moment to introduce myself as an area coordinator for Tiny Sparrow Foundation. We have been encouraged to receive such an amazing response from photographers all over the world offering their support and talent to this cause. We want you to know that we have heard you and are working diligently behind the scenes to ensure we have all the necessary insurance, background checks, support network and many other legalities to begin the process of expanding. Our intention is to expand, one state at time, adding both photographer affiliates and area photographer coordinators for each state. The role and job description of area coordinators is still being developed, but if you are interested in more information on helping in this way please contact us at photog@tinysparrowfoundation.org or lidia@tinysparrowfoundation.org .
Please be patient and know that we appreciate your interest and have every intention of responding once we have taken all the required steps. In the meantime, we will be gathering photographer’s information and building a data base. If you are a photographer with the desire to help please include your website, email and the areas that you are willing and able to cover when contacting us.
As for now, you can help by spreading the word about Tiny Sparrow on your blog or perhaps by adding our donate button to the post. There are so many families to reach and we thank you for your support.

[...] I want to take this opportunity to tell you all about a new role I am taking on with a foundation called Tiny Sparrow. Tiny Sparrow Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing lasting memories through the art of photography to families whose children are facing life threatening illnesses. I am so honored to help. The focus of my photography has always been children because creating memories for families is so meaningful to me and what could be more important than helping families who are dealing with the unfathomable. Tiny Sparrow was founded by Lidia Boicu, a photographer, mother and breast cancer survivor herself, who through her own suffering was led to reach out to the tiniest little warriors in the best way she could. She has been an inspiration to many. [...]
I have been searching for an opportunity like this for some time now. I am thrilled at the possibility of being a part of such a transformative and healing process for those who need it most. I have often wondered what it is I can give to show my gratitude and to lift another. The past several months have been quite poignant ones for me. Perhaps it was the birth of my third beautifully amazing (and healthy!) children. Perhaps it was the culmination of so many things. But I know now that photography is the key. At least it’s MY key. To giving back. To sharing a bit of the joy and love I feel.
If and when you reach my area, please feel free to contact me. I so look forward to participating in such a incredible journey!

I am eager and willing to help out up here in Alaska. My mother is a breast cancer survivor, and a second grade child in the school I teach fifth grade was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor this year…cancer is close by and it frightens and amazes me with it’s ability to bring out the strength and will in people.
I would love to help out any way I can in Alaska. Consider me in.
I would be honored to become a participating photographer with your organization. I am based in the North Georgia area. Thanks so much!
Dear Tiny Sparrow!
I just stumbled across this site and my heart has been warmed. Even if you don’t have room for extra help – Thank You for all you do!
I would love to be a part of your organization in any way possible. It is just what I have been looking. I live in Phoenix Arizona. I don’t know if you do any work here? I am a baby/child photographer and would love to donate my photography. Also, if you need administrative work done or plan to open up an branch in this area I would love to help! I stay at home with my 7 month old and 2 1/2 year old children (but have a nanny so I am available to help anytime).
Thanks again for all you do!

My life, as many others, has been directly affected by cancer. My sister was 15 when she was diagnosed with leukemia, my grandpa died from lung cancer, I have several friends going through breast cancer, and have watched several kids, in their teens, go through leukemia and cancer and have had several friends lose their fight. Cancer hits everyone. I would be honored to be a part of this program. To capture the moments of a family while giving them a gift of images to cherish forever. I would love to do Bloomington-Normal IL, Peoria, IL and Chamgpaign,IL.
