Samuel | West Virginia

Meet Samuel and his family.

Sam is a fun-loving 14-year-old boy who enjoys playing sports — especially baseball and track! This comes in handy since he’s tall and full of talent. He is the older brother to Lisa and David, who look up to him both literally, and with admiration.

Another thing he is full of is love and laughter. Sam is an inspiration to anyone who crosses his path, especially once they learn he was diagnosed with AML, acute myeloid leukemia. After 4 rounds of intense chemotherapy, he finished the last treatment on his birthday, December 7th, and today is grateful to be in remission and back in school! As his Mother put it, “he beat the odds and did not have the normal side effects of chemo, we give God the glory!”

Tiny Sparrow wishes him a bright, healthy future ahead. Run far, aim high, and don’t take a single day for granted of your beautiful life.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Andrea Martin of www.andreamartinphotographywv.com for donating her time and talent to Sam’s family.
