Andrew | Stage 4 Neuroblastoma | Pennsylvania

Meet Andrew. This bold three year old loves monster trucks, trains, cars, Jake the Netherlands Pirates, playing outside with his big brother Sam, and is 100% boy.

Andy’s mommy and daddy’s world was turned upside down in February of 2011 when his pediatrician diagnosed this active little boy with stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma, a solid tumor cancer. Andy’s treatment has included 6 rounds of chemo, major surgery, 2 stem cell transplants, 12 rounds of radiation and 6 rounds of anti-body therapy. His mother shared with us: “Even through all his treatment, you would have never known he had cancer, except his for his bald head. He is very friendly and we like to tall him the “Mayor” of the pediatric cancer floor. We feel VERY fortunate he tolerated all his treatment well and with little known side effects. We live every day to the fullest because we know that this horrible disease has a 40-50% chance of returning.” Andy’s mom also told us that Andy took special items to his photo shoot. He took his “Thomas the Train” quilt that he received when he had a tumor removed at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He also carried a teddy bear given to him by a complete stranger while walking through the halls at outpatient clinic, waiting for chemo. She told us these two items, he has with him when he is getting treatment or seeing doctors.

Andy, keep up the fight. The entire tiny sparrow team {loves} you.

Our hearts are thankful to Christine of Christine Chardo Photography for her heART and compassion to our mission of hope.
