White House Custom Colour Partners with Tiny Sparrow Foundation
Printing expenses to be donated for grassroots non-profit organization
Plano, Texas – September 8, 2012 – Tiny Sparrow Foundation, a national non-profit who provides free-of-charge professional photography to families with children facing life-threatening illnesses, announced that it has partnered with White House Custom Colour (WHCC) as the organization’s official pro bono printer.
Tiny Sparrow will work closely with the Minnesota-based lab, providing 10×10 coffee table photo albums for families to treasure as a keepsake of memories.
“Photographers donate their time and talent to capture hope during a very difficult time, and our board of directors who manage administrative and marketing duties are also volunteer positions; the hard costs of printing photo albums is our primary and largest expense,” said Susan Posterro, Family Liaison for Tiny Sparrow. “We are honored to collaborate with WHCC and truly humbled that they will be donating 100% of our printed memory albums. In 2011 we worked with 20 families; in 2012 we have already touched over 100 families, so the hard costs have really taken a hit on our balance sheet.”
Tiny Sparrow relies solely on personal donations and grassroots fundraising initiatives, and currently does not have any corporate sponsors — which non-profits often rely on to help offset operating expenses.
Tiny Sparrow creates the printed album soon after the photo session takes place, as many of the participating families spend a lot of time in the hospital and they enjoy sharing the album. A CD of high-resolution picture files are also donated, which includes full copyright usage, as well as an electronic slideshow of photographs designed to music.
