Meet Everett or Rett as his mom and dad call him. Rett is a five year old that diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in January of 2011 at the tender age of 3 1/2. Rett has endured bone marrow biopsies, spinal taps and is now on the path of years of daily chemotherapy treatments.
Rett’s mom shared on his blog that “Rett is doing really well, despite his low counts. His hair is beginning to fall out again, which is a reminder of how strong these toxins are that are keeping the leukemia away. There are moments each day when we can forget he has cancer and is fighting for his life. He is so strong! He is such a warrior! We are so proud of how he has endured the treatments thus far, and we hope they work.
Just recently Rett got to sit in the pilot seat of the MetLife Blimp. He already knows he will fly high once he kicks his cancer to the curb.
We extend a beautiful thank you to the beautiful Andrea of Andrea Hallett Photography for her gift to our Foundation and Rett’s family of true Pictures of Hope.
