When Lauren’s ankle started to hurt last year, it seemed most likely some sort of injury. Both her and her family were suprised to find out that in fact, it was a type of non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma called Lymphoblastic Lymphoma (LL). This was the beginning of a journey that Lauren is still on, and will take all her strength to endure. Fortunately, Lauren is doing wonderfully in her fight against LL. After spinal taps and rounds of chemotherapy, Lauren is in the maintenance phase of her treatment, and although this part of her treatment will last nearly two years, she is feeling good and even doing great in school! We’ve heard that 6th grade is a tough year, but we have no worries about who will come out on top–Lauren has already shown us how amazing and strong she is (watch out 6th grade!).
We would like to give BIG thank you to our dear friend Shalonda of Chubby Cheek Photography for her continued support of our Foundation and providing such beautiful Pictures of Hope.
