Evan | Central Nuclear Myopathy | Texas

Meet Evan, he is 2 years old and in his short lifetime he went through a lot. I photographed him this morning and even though he can’t talk he sure loves it if you sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little star to him. Here is a little history on Evan as I got it from his website.

I was born on July 15th, 2008. I have an older brother and a baby sister, which I love and adore. I was 4 months when the doctors did a muscle biopsy, to try to figure out what was happening to me.

I was diagnosed with Central Nuclear Myopathy. At 6 months I got a trachastomy, a G-tube (for eating) and a Nissen. I have always been in and out of the hospitals before I could even celebrate my 1st Birthday.

I knew how to do some sign language and understood commands at this point, I was like 1 yr and 6 months old. I soon learned how to hold my head up, play with my toys and say “Nana”. I got the hang of waving hi and bye to everyone that would come and visit me.
